Many blogs mention Adobe Photoshop as the must have software to install on every PC on the earth, but the truth is, many people don’t require that and the kind of image editing work they want can be dome inside the default program like Paint.
Here are some useful features of Paint other than letting your 5 year old kid draw landscapes.
Converting Image Formats
The Paint program is all that you require if you are looking to convert your PNG image into JPEG or GIF or vice versa.
Check out: How to convert image formats easily.
Resizing Images
Digital Cameras produce images that was somewhere between 2000px to 4000px in width and height and weight between 3MB to 5MB, resizing them can be a good idea if you are sending or uploading a dozen photos via Email or Facebook. Paint lets you resize images easily.
Transparent Selection
You can select an image with a solid white background to copy so that you can paste it over to another area without the background.
For example, I had this photo of mine with a White background, I pasted it to the Red box without the White background by making a transparent selection.
Few Drawings Done using Microsoft Paint
These are the images that I sourced from a post on this is colossal, the drawings are done by an old man in late nineties.
These drawing really show that we have been underestimating the default program by Microsoft and have been using it wrong.
I hope the tricks I mentioned above will change your perspective towards Paint and you will make a good use of it from now on.
