A report has surfaced on the
internet confirming that the upcoming Samsung smartphones will be integrated
with 64-bit chips. And none other than J K Shin, President and CEO of Samsung
himself has let out this piece of information.
It looks like the South Korean
company has taken inspiration from its arch rival, Apple as the latest iPhone, the 5S has
been blessed with a similar processor. The tidbit was revealed by The Korea Times, who even goes on to disclose that the President confessed to have
followed the media coverage of the newest contenders from
the Cupertino-headquartered conglomerate.
Another strategy that Samsung has
shared with the aforementioned website is that they will turn their focus on
China, which happens to be the largest market in the entire world. Again, this
move seems to mimic that of Apple’s, considering that the latter even hosted an
event in the Asian country to launch its newest iPhones.
It looks like Apple’s sudden interest
in China has compelled Samsung to pull up its socks and not miss out on
potential customers. Naturally, this country is one of the 140 nations where
the Galaxy Note 3 will
be introduced, sooner rather than later. A special event to commemorate the
arrival of the third generation phablet is also being scheduled.
As of now, we do not know exactly
which Samsung smartphone will be the proud owner of the 64-bit chip, but we
were to take a guess, we’ll definitely go with the Galaxy S5. And considering
that the OEM has already introduced 3GB RAM, the component will most probably
find its way into the next flagship. The prospect of it does sound interesting.
